Tell Me More
Twenty Two Eleven is the new re-envisioned version of it’s former self “Bar 2211” (see what they did with the name there?). You’ll find it on the east end of the east side, nestled in one of Austin’s best neighborhoods (I’m admittedly biased, sorry not sorry). Twenty Two Eleven boasts themselves as a bar and pool deck intended to inspire the feels of Palm Springs (that’s California, y’all) circa 1973. And while the pool is still a work in progress, they’ve hit that desert oasis retro vibe right on. Happy hour features the standard beer/well/liquor discounts that you typically find around ATX. Their house cocktails include a mix of classics and creatives, and there’s something for everyone. They also recently released their new tiki-bar drinks, which included a 5-star mai-tai and the blue hawaiian (which is made with coconut nada-moo [vegan!] ice-cream). Twenty Two Eleven’s transition is still a work in progress, but things are heading in the right direction. There’s talk of luring a food truck to the premises, and the soon that concrete vessel in the center of the patio will be filled with 2 feet of crisp cool water – so all you lovely people can swish your toes while sipping all those deliciously discounted drinks. Bring it on!
