Tell Me More

Shangri-La is a straight-forward, what you see is what you get, kinda happy hour. They keep it basic with east-side priced wells and domestics, and keep you happy by letting you drink them until 9 each night [bonus if you happen to be happy-houring on a Tuesday].

There are other goodies, too, like tropical-inspired cocktails served up in fancy-ish hurricane glasses and the obligatory tiny, paper umbrellas. Those who cannot live on wells/domestics alone will find that Shangri-La keeps their beverages cheap on the regular, so your wallet won’t suffer much here. The vibe inside is a happy mix of open-airy dive meets cool-hip retro. Outdoors you’ll find their revamped patio beer garden, which is so big it could fit 300 people [maybe…we should try, ok?].

There’s also an outdoor bar, for those who refuse to be indoors [it was closed during our happy hour, but I’ve seen it open during busier hours]. Also, word on the street is that it’s dog friendly [dogs love happy hour!]. Stop by and make a long night of it. Details of the 300 person patio party to come later.

Drink well, drink cheap
